Twin / Single LF and Treatment Stations
Tenova Ladle Furnaces enable precise control of the melt temperature and of the chemical composition to guarantee improvement of productivity, flexibility and quality.
Improving steel temperature and analysis control is a key aspect of the secondary metallurgy processes. Tenova Ladle Furnaces enable precise control of the melt temperature and of the chemical composition to guarantee improvement of productivity, flexibility and quality.
Tenova Ladle Furnaces are usually designed to increase the melt temperature up to 5 °C/min and they are equipped with a water-cooled roof of either direct or indirect suction (controlled atmosphere) type, as well with other related facilities, such as wire feeding machines and powder injection systems.
Tenova LF can be designed as a twin unit, in order to maximize productivity without sacrificing process quality, using a single transformer by means of swinging electrode arms.
Tenova LFs are available for sizes from 5tls to 350tls.

SECONDARY METALLURGY
Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD)
Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) is used during the refining process to produce steel with low carbon properties and low silicon levels, while creating a metal more weldable and more corrosion and heat resistant. It brings the tightest chemistry control to deliver the highest levels of metal purity.RH / RH-OB
The Ruhrstahl Heraeus (RH) vacuum recirculation process is carried out in a refractory-lined vessel equipped with two snorkels immersed in the steel bath. The process is focused on decarburization and degassing and is the best suitable system for the production of Ultra Low Carbon Steel grades.VD / VOD
The increasing demand for high quality steel makes the vacuum treatment an essential step in secondary metallurgy process. Tenova Vacuum Degasser units (VD) feature effective removal of hydrogen, oxygen and/or carbon, based on proven technology and experience.
